February’s issue of White Dwarf is on the way, and as usual, it’s stacked with excellent Warhammer content. Kicking things off is the Bunker, which brings a new scenario for Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar, and an exciting new way to play Warhammer Underworlds without any cards – a great way to get a taste of everyone’s favourite competitive skirmish game.

With head ghoul honcho Ushoran on the cover, you’d be right to expect a decent chunk for the Flesh-eater Courts. Basic Training provides an in-depth overview of the tips and tricks this cannibal court is hiding up its rotten sleeves, and there are also rules for using them in games of Warhammer Quest: Cursed City.

Then there’s the second part of the Strongholds of the Realms series, featuring the many keeps and castles kept by the forces of Order and Destruction, and there’s also a short story about the nature of trust at the Varanspire. Thankfully a ray of light shines through in the form of a showcase of Lumineth Realm-lords, the prismatic defenders of Hysh.

In the grim darkness of the far future, you’ll find comprehensive rules for using Space Marine Scouts in Kill Team. Not content to let the Imperium have all that stealthy fun, the Hive Mind has concocted a brand new Combat Patrol centred around its vanguard organisms.

Nine Von Ryan’s Leapers join a Neurolictor and a Lictor to form the Insidious Infiltrators, who specialise in rapidly closing the distance and shredding their prey with razor-sharp talons. You even get all the datasheets as card attachments to the issue.

Our brave commanders also continue expanding their Warhammer 40,000 forces in Tale of Four Warlords, Inquisitor Coteaz provides a thorough report on his understanding of Vashtorr the Arkifane, while there are two helpings of Warhammer 40,000 fiction.

For everyone whose hearts are still aflutter over the return of Warhammer: The Old World, the very first printed Battle Report for the latest version of this venerable game features in Issue 497. Old World designers Jonathan and Dan* command the Tomb Kings of Khemri and the Kingdom of Bretonnia as they battle over a big green field – and yes, before you ask, there are top-down graphics of regiments with arrows indicating their tactical movements, just like you remember.
